Who are we?

The short-term supervision in Norrköping municipality offers placements in afternoon and holiday activities for youth aged 13-21 who have a decision according to LSS. The operation is part of the student health at the education office.

The leisure activities should provide students with recreation, meaningful leisure time, and stimulate development and learning. The operation is based on a holistic view of the student and the student's needs, and is designed to promote diverse contacts and social community while challenging the group and the youth's development.

The operation is currently conducted at seven different units: Eken, Björken, Linden, Pilen, Boken, Aspen, and Kastanjen. Approximately 65 employees work in the operation, focusing on the youth's development and leisure. The operation is constantly evolving, and the employees are crucial in this work.

Our organization collaborates with adapted primary and secondary schools to ensure a continuous and seamless experience for the youth and guardians.

It is important to strengthen the trust in one's own abilities and self-esteem among individual youth and the group; therefore, we offer joint group activities where the youth are challenged both as individuals and as part of a group. To achieve this, the operation is adapted to the youth's different conditions, and various support needs and planning are made progressively to reach the set goal.

Your tasks

The short-term supervision is organized at multiple locations depending on the availability of youth. As a resource educator with us, you have your primary assignment in your own operation but are also expected to work at some of our contact schools, primary schools, and adapted schools.

In our own operation, you also work with youth who need support in eating, drinking, moving, personal hygiene, and dressing. You work to make daily life understandable and predictable based on various methods/tools and help the youth develop interests, which also includes participating in social contexts.

In our operation, our educators work in a team with a common foundational view of the youth we meet and operate from a salutogenic and promoting perspective. What is important for us is that you feel secure in conducting operations based on the abilities aligned with the curriculum (Lgr-22) and actively participate in quality assurance of these and the operation.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a university degree or YH education with a pedagogical focus. You have previous experience in pedagogical work within the target group of teenagers. We view positively if you have insight and experience working according to the primary school curriculum (Lgr-22).

You have experience and good knowledge of youth, psychosocial problems, intellectual disabilities (ID), and neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF). You have a good ability to communicate using various support tools.

As a person, you are secure and stable with good pedagogical insight, adapting your approach and communication according to the youth and their different conditions.

You enjoy collaborating with others and contribute positively to the workgroup. Your focus and engagement lie in supporting the youth's opportunities to grow as individuals.

Since our operation is dynamic, where days do not always go as planned, we see that you are a flexible person who can quickly adapt to new conditions.

You are motivated by using your creativity, and if you have an interest you can share for an active leisure time, we see that as a positive.

The position requires that you have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
